Beetroot Blast
Beetroot’s gorgeous colour, mixed with the sweetness of honey and berries and the freshness of mint and lime juice, makes an un-beet-able combination! Not only is this smoothie delicious, it also contains a generous dose of fibre from the berries, spinach and chia seeds to keep you feeling good inside and out! A little lime juice goes a long way in flavour and health benefits. Lime juice contains antibacterial and antifungal properties and has been shown to slow atherosclerosis. In addition, lime juice packs a mighty punch of vitamin C and can help with the absorption of iron, which you’ll get plenty of from the spinach and beet.

Ingredients
2 cups spinach
½ small beet
1 cup frozen blackberries (or blueberries)
2 tblsp fresh lime juice
5 leaves fresh mint
1 tblsp chia seeds
1 tsp honey (or maple syrup)
1 tsp salt
3 ice cubes
1 ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Directions
Add all ingredients to your Tall Cup and extract for 30 seconds, or until smooth.
